Why doesn’t the Bordatella vaccine protect my dog?
There are at least 15 pathogens that cause kennel cough in dogs. Like the human flu vaccine, manufacturers do their best to create vaccines that protect against the most common 2-3 pathogens. The vaccine does not prevent 100% of dogs from getting Bordatella, but it usually lessons duration/symptoms for those who do get it.
